Description:

The Endowment offers 12-14 one-year fellowships per year to uniquely qualified graduating seniors
and individuals who have graduated during the past academic year. The selected students serve as
research associates and are matched with senior fellows–academics, former government officials,
lawyers and journalists from around the world–to work on a variety of international affairs issues.
Junior Fellows have the opportunity to conduct research for Carnegie publications, participate in
meetings with high-level officials, contribute to congressional testimony and organize briefings
attended by scholars, journalists and government officials.  They are selected from a pool of
nominees from close to 400 participating colleges.

Signature of Program:

One-year fellowship to work as a research assistant to one of the Carnegie Endowment’s senior
associates. Positions are full time and include a salary and benefit package.

Amount of Award:

Positions are paid, full-time positions for one year. Junior fellows are currently paid a gross salary of
$3,291.67 per month ($39,500 per year). A full benefits package is also provided.

Requirements:

Open only to graduating seniors — you may not have begun graduate school– Eligible to work in the US from August 1-July 31 the year following graduation.¬† The University of Mississippi is allowed two nominations per year. 3.7 GPA
